It's Been Awhile (5.01.2026)
Good morning, evening, or night!
It's been a lot longer than I've wanted it to be since I did anything with ACupOfCosmog but a lot's been happening to me for the past several months and it honestly hasn't really stopped. I've been busy, basically! But there's still a little bit to go over. The main reason outside of business is I've been wanting to redo the site design. I'd like to make it look more cafe-themed, but it's been a slow process. But, we must press on.
I also got addicted to Pokopia and it's not letting up. Stellar game, absolute blast. The end credits made me cry. Contender for my personal game of the year. The new Tomodachi Life is also a great game (though it's one where you get out what you put into it even more so than the last game). I've also been shiny hunting for a Bulbasaur in LeafGreen. I'll start the game eventually. I want to play games again with a open heart and mind and it's been fun playing in that manner. I've also been going through Kirby and the Forgotten Land again.
I made a base for one of my preorders! I still need to take pictures, but it's a strawberry cake intended for 15th Anniversary Miku (or Strawberry Miku!) when she hopefully arrives at a good time. My store has been super backlogged lately and it's making collecting more difficult. I knew what I was getting into though, so no one's fault but mine at this point. It didn't come out as nicely as I wanted, but it looks great, and I'm really proud of it. My boat base for Houshou Marine hasn't been going nearly as smoothly, and I'm trying to decide if I should ditch the baking and do airdry for the rest of the base boat and certain decorations. It's got a stong base but it just keeps cracking and I don't know why. Perhaps it's something from really early on in the process I can't fox. I just need to make sure whatever I do doesn't damage the figure. I also made a crochet base for my beloved Mihono Bourbon nendoroid! I thought the green base she came with was clever but ugly, so I made a green crochet base to better act as grass. It came out well! I'll have pictures of all three eventually, and maybe their own dedicated post! It's really nice making things even if they don't turn our right.
I built a bunch of model kits. It's been relaxing.

The biggest thing I want to do is try and do a full series of analysis or at least a read-through blog of a series. I've been inspired by two admittedly on-hiatus tumblr blogs, and might do one of the series they were covering, or do something entirely new. It's going to be a complete series though! I'd like to have something for that out by June if I'm lucky.
